1. Data Collection & Analytics

SportsFanDock is built as a static site. The interactive tools and calculators run entirely client-side in your web browser. We do not store or process your calculations, stats, bracket picks, or payout inputs on any server.

We use Google Analytics to monitor aggregated, non-personally identifiable site traffic. This helps us optimize performance, page load speeds, and screen responsiveness.

2. IP Geolocation & Regional Consent

To comply with regional privacy standards (such as the GDPR in the EU and CCPA in California), we perform a coarse geolocation check upon loading the website.

This check is done through a serverless proxy endpoint `/api/geo` which reads routing headers provided by our host. We do not store, log, or cache raw IP addresses. The geolocation result is used exclusively in your browser session to determine your consent preferences:

• EU/EEA/UK: Google Analytics is disabled by default. Tracking is only enabled if you actively select the accept button on our cookie banner.
• California (US): Analytics are enabled by default, but you are provided with a prominent opt-out action. You can opt out at any time via the link in the footer or this page.
• Other Regions: Analytics are configured using standard settings.
